I finally finished typing up my own version of the werewolf after two and a half years. Holy hell, I have never typed this much about something I was interested in. Quite proud of my work :3
What really irks me is when people make heavily muscled werewolves with skinny legs. Like, come on, brocookie, do you really think those polio legs are gonna support all that upper body weight?
Fantasy
or
Science Fiction
Both or either or. To me, it would depend on how you approach the werewolf. If you plan on making the werewolf change or be infected by some magical aspect (magic (lol), ritual, pact with the devil, etc.), then I would place it under fantasy. However, if you’re taking the heredity or virus route, I would go science fiction.
But there could be so much going into this depending on how your werewolves are, so I can’t say for a solid fact.
These are all the various werewolf definitions I’ve found from different artists over the past 2 years, if anyone needs some references. I like keeping these in its own favorites folder because I like going back and reading other people’s theories on the myth of the werewolf.
For the love of god, do not copy any of these artists’ work. I’m sure they put a lot of time into creating these reference sheets.
But if anyone finds another sheet I can add to my collection, please tell me!
Assuming that these werewolves are born werewolves and have their first transformation around puberty. (For males as well as females.)
Or something else entirely different?
I’ve been rereading Blood and Chocolate and a loup-garou being of age is 16 for females and 21 for males.
serious question. this has been nagging me for a while.
