my poor baby needs a new back cover, front trim, and cooling fan. ahhhh ;_; at least she still works for now <3
Maybe I should build PCs for a job on the side. But who the hell wants that on campus hmm
Okay I know I’ve been through this before but I still need help. I’m building a basic budget build (lol) for my parents for Christmas and the last part I need to buy is the power supply. I still don’t know what an efficient one to buy would be (or rather, people have suggested some months ago and I forgot). Can anyone help me get this right? Here’s the build so far:
Case: Athena Power CA-GSB01DA, ATX Mid-Tower
Mobo: BIOSTAR A780L3B AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD
CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Graphics Card: N/A (doesn’t need one)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM
Optical Drive: SAMSUNG DVD Burner Model SH-224BB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium
Keep in mind that I have never build a PC before in my life and this is gonna be a huge learning experience for me. If someone could explain to me what wattage power supply would be okay for this build and why, that’d be awesome. I’m still learning this.
Welp. Tomorrow’s the day. Gonna buy the rest of this shit and get it shipped home for Christmas.
so I’m finally updating the budget build that I plan on making for my parents. this one should be the official and final build because Christmas is around the corner and I need to start buying soon.
welp. here goes. the actual building part is what’s scaring me the most about this whole project D: but dammit if I succeed, this is something huge I can say that I accomplished in my life. I don’t personally know very many people who would take the time to research and build a custom computer.
I think I’m gonna start buying the parts for this PC in about a month or so. probably around Black Friday-Cyber Monday. I’m hoping I can find some good deals around that time
I can’t wait until Christmas when I try and build my parents a new custom PC. If it works, I’ll be so happy. And I hope they would be too. The PC at home is about 10 years old and needs to be replaced. That thing is starting to suck horribly.
