Okay that whole episode of Adventure Time was like Skyrim central, I swear

okay so I want to clarify something in regards to Marceline’s character for those who’re confused.

people are wondering why she’s like really old in the alternate universe because she’s supposed to be a vampire and the rule is that vampires don’t age blah blah blah

no, she wasn’t born a vampire in any universe. she was turned into one around the age of 18, hence her appearance as we commonly know and see her to be, never physically aging from the time she was bitten (sexy vampire lady look). 

she confirms she’s half-demon and we know this to be true because of her father Hunson, but due to the alternate universes circumstances with the bomb and Simon’s sacrifice, vampire!Marceline never happened because she never met the vampire king. 

now, why isn’t Hunson old and wrinkly? because he’s full-demon.

the reason Marceline ages is because she’s only half-demon. she’ll live forever in any universe because of it but her other half (most likely human) is what causes her wrinkly appearance.

Marceline’s conversion to vampirism, not her half-demon/half-human self, is what keeps her looking physically young at 18 regardless of her being over 1000 years old.

Marceline appreciates that Princess Bubblegum has helped her realize her true worth and potential, not only as a talented and inspiring musician, but as a person recognized as an equal, someone Marceline feels she isn’t in the Princess’ eyes as stated in ‘I’m Just Your Problem” (‘It’s like I’m not even a person, am I?’).

She now knows Princess Bubblegum’s going to support her through anything as an individual who took the time to, you know, be a friend? 

Did you expect her to say babydoll or something? Geez guys, if all you took from this was friendzoning or unrequited feelings, not cool. 

There is so much potential in this ship and one panel, ONE PANEL, in a comic that isn’t even considered canon in regards to the actual Adventure Time show storyline does not equal a sunken ship.

Pen admitted that he cries when he listens to Rebecca’s sad songs in the animatics of the episodes she writes 

He also had a huge argument with her about whether Ice King would ever cry for ”I remember you”

notably, Ice King and Marceline’s history was not planned until about the time they were thrown into an episode together as that was the only reason it hadn’t been touched before

and Ice King is going to have a moment where he is making teepees with his chest hair and also making little people (freaky, ikr?)

and Kent wanted to write premises for Shelby the worm but failed

and Cole got to say some stuff

and according to Pen, Jesse never makes his characters emotional

also they write to entertain themselves and not a specific age group which is why I assume the show is so marvellous

they don’t want to talk much about the genderbent episode, but it seems that Don Glover might get to rap

holy crap he’s doing an LSP impression that is hilarious but he’s also failing because he’s on the spot

if finn’s reflection in ‘king worm’ ended up being farmworld finn, what about all that other junk that happened in his dream? 

PB having coffee with the Lich? i mean, she did know Billy was the Lich at the end of the season 4 finale…

So I’m really confused as to how Marceline ages. I guess being Half Demon makes her age really really slow. Which would mean that it could have taken decades if not centuries for her to become a teen, get turned into a vampire and then stop aging.

Yeah I didn’t think about that. I’m guessing that once she hits a certain age (non-vampire, of course), then her body just slows down the aging process. I’m speculating she probably never reached that age since she got turned into a vampire.

But…then again, yeah it could have taken decades before she was “biologically 18-21”, and then she gets bitten and stops aging altogether. Ehhh….I’m confusing myself now.

There’s just not enough information. What I’m getting at this point is that:

• Marceline is 1000 years old chronologically
• She is biologically 18-21
• She’s half demon
• Somehow the Great Mushroom War was a factor in her getting turned into a vampire (I do believe the Vampire King was the vampire who turned her and she killed him because her being half-demon made her stronger)
• Because of said half demon side, she ages a lot slower than normal as evident by her 1000-year-old alternate reality self
• Bubbleline needs to be canon
